Cali is the daughter of a single mother. She is sixteen and she has just finished high school. She has no idea what she should do next. Then Calihan’s job transfers him to their little town. When Calihan was eighteen, he helped deliver Cali, and since then he has adopted her, in his mind. Calihan introduces Cali to a world of possibility. As Cali is deciding, she learns more about herself. Then it is decision time. I certainly recommend this book.

People who live in the Eternity House help however they can to create a better community. They are my heroes. I wish there was an Eternity House near where I live.

Read the Eternity House Next Door. I didn't expect this when I started reading the Eternity House Next Door. Very interesting how Cali's life changes. I thought the part when she and her mom Ida talk about the time before she was born very moving. Declan was another interesting character. His life and his responses to life made me think.
